Responsible for maintaining and enhancing service delivery standards, the successful candidate will be required to recruit, manage and develop volunteer caseworkers to support victims and witnesses of crime in Herefordshire.
By identifying and building links with partner organisations that can provide additional support services, you will assist in meeting the needs of victims, ensuring they receive the support required to complete their journey through the criminal justice system. Although not essential, experience of delivering a service and working one to one with clients or service users in a statutory, voluntary or community setting would be beneficial.
Applicants will have a good understanding of confidentiality and safe working practices and maintenance of records in accordance with the Data Protection Act. In addition you must be able to demonstrate your active commitment to promoting equal opportunities and diversity. It is also essential you can demonstrate that you are able to work without direct supervision, that you can prioritise your work and deal with competing demands in an organised and methodical manner.
This role is for 22.5 hours per week; to be worked over a minimum of 3 days per week. This role is based in Hereford and will require some travel around the county. Appointments will be subject to satisfactory references and checks made by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
