Account Manager / Key Account Manager required for exciting opportunity with our client who are leading design and manufacturer of special purpose machinery for the food industry.

ARE YOU ARE INTERESTED INTO MOVING INTO CAPITAL EQUIPMENT / CAPEX PROJECTS AND HAVE SALES OR ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT WITH A TECHNICAL PRODUCT??

We are looking for a qualified mechanical engineer who has a minimum of 2/3 years sales / business development or account management experience with an engineering / technical product this could either be components or machinery.

As an Account Manager / Key Account Manager you will be working for a prestigious and well established manufacture of machinery with offices in the US and UK. Remaining privately owned and with a 60 year track record this role will be to support with the further growth in the UK.

As Account Manager / Key Account you will be responsible for managing approximately 50 food and ingredient manufacturers.

The role will include:

  • Responding to customer enquiries for machinery and request for information RFI
  • Building long term relationships with Engineering Managers, Project Managers and Site Engineering Managers
  • Identify opportunities for the sale of automated machinery to food manufacturers.
  • Understand customer applications and correctly specify appropriate machinery.
  • Write proposals including technical and commercial information.
  • Attending marketing and networking events as required and building the company brand across the UK.

There will be full product training given both here and in the US, most machinery sales roles require current expertise in the sector so this is a rare opportunity to move into the industry.

Ideally based within 2 hours of Birmingham (Wolverhampton, Coventry, Redditch, Worcester, Kidderminster, Cheltenham, Bristol, Gloucester, Rugby, Northampton, Leicester, Warwick, Stafford, Cannock, Stoke-On-Trent, Derby, Telford, Shrewsbury, Manchester)
