Our Clients, a well-established independent estate agency and financial company are currently looking for a Mortgage and Protection Administrator Manager to join their every growing office in the Shrewsbury area.

The Mortgage & Protection Administration Manager will manage the Customer Service Team whilst ensuring that all mortgage applications are progressed from submission to offer in a timely and efficient manner.


  • Manage and monitor the mortgage offer process whilst adhering to the Financial conduct Authority guidelines
  • Manage the pipeline of applications that have been submitted to mortgage lenders by the Mortgage Advisors to achieve monthly billing targets
  • Obtain updates from lenders via online systems and telephone contact
  • Communicate effectively with solicitors on a regular basis to obtain updates regarding the legal process
  • Dealing with estate agents to obtain relevant information on any chains of properties to aid a smooth transaction for the client.
  • Problem solve based on information received and anticipate next steps wherever possible
  • Check documentation received from clients/advisers for completeness and accuracy and upload to in-house case file
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of lenders’ specific procedures and requirements for case processing
  • Work closely alongside the Sales Managers to ensure optimal effectiveness of existing processes
  • Support the Mortgage Advisors and a small team of Customer Service Agents monitoring their levels of productiveness and case loads
  • Maintain a diary management system to ensure all cases are monitored on a regular basis and all outstanding matters are dealt with promptly
  • Organise workflow to meet with customer timeframes
  • Keep clear and accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
  • Dealing with clients insurance requirements and arranging for them to be put on risk with the policy companies
  • Deal with any customer complaints
Key skills and requirements
  • Previous estate agent knowledge would be an advantage
  • To be able to work to targets set whilst working under pressure
  • The willingness to learn new processes and procedures
  • Ability to change and adapt to challenging situations using initiative
  • Ability to recognise potential issues and act accordingly
  • Logical and methodical
  • Microsoft Office product knowledge required
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problem analysis and problem solving
