About the role
This role operates within one of the local People & Learning teams and as part of the team ensures the delivery of the foundation training programme through direct personal delivery and managing a team of volunteer Foundation Training Programme tutors one of these teams will be recruited, trained, developed, quality monitored, managed and supported by each of the FTP tutor co-ordinators.

The role primarily supports UK Ops services colleagues to meet all of their volunteer recruitment and induction training (including Ops staff) needs as described in their workforce plans. The role is accountable for the high quality delivery of the foundation training programme (and any other induction that the organisation might require) and it use as an integral element of the selection process for potential new volunteer. The role and its volunteer tutor team are integral in ensuring that the new recruits' experience is a positive one and one which increases the chance of retention and a fulfilling volunteering journey.

About the person

This role requires candidates to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, candidates must also have/be:

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent by experience
  • literate. Experience of using email, word processing, Powerpoint and spreadsheet packages
  • Dealing with the public in person and by phone
  • Collaborative team working
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Delivering training to staff and/or volunteers
