We are currently working on a Quality Manager position with a highly reputable business at their manufacturing and production facility based in Birmingham. The successful Quality Manager will have a background in quality within an industrial manufacturing background and be comfortable heading up customer relationships as well as driving internal quality processes. They will also be a Lead Auditor TS16949.

The business has an incredible heritage, having been manufacturing from this site since the 19th century and their business has successfully undergone significant transitions to modernise and cement themselves a 21st century manufacturer. With a brand reputation cemented in high-quality, high-volume products, the business needs a Quality Manager who will be able to utilise business accreditations to TS16949 and AS9100 and further push their quality processes on site.


  • Lead Auditor TS16949 and AS9100
  • Work towards reaccreditations in vaiours Quality Management Systems
  • Manage products through PPAP submissions
  • Utilisation on problem solving techniques across 8d, FMEA and Fishbone analysis
  • Lead small team of engineers to meet quality team KPIs
  • Support in all QMS related work
  • Ensure conformance of all documentations to both industry and customer-specific quality standards
  • Work closely with internal purchasing function to ensure supplier quality targets are upheld and supplier corrective actions are robust
  • Quality control procedures through non-conformance reports, corrective actions and rejections
  • Provide support with inspection processes
  • Assist with complex customer technical enquiries
  • Adhere to and maintain quality standards


  • Comprehensive knowledge of quality systems
  • Lead Auditor TS16949 and AS9100

  • Natural leader with high emphasis on employee engagement and coaching of quality principles
  • Comfortable communicating with all levels:, sub-ordinates and the senior management team
  • Skills in building relationships both internally and externally

Job Offer

Salary from £40,000 - £45,000 DOE + package
