The Senior Accountant Job is suitable for an ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a busy practice environment. We are seeking an individual with broad based technical knowledge and the capacity to lead others. The Senior Accountant Job will involve managing and mentoring a small team, therefore a confident disposition is essential.

Our client has a compelling reputation for quality service and therefore requires a Senior Accountant who has both exceptional interpersonal skills as well as extensive technical knowledge. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have the opportunity to be involved with new client acquisition and Business Development.
Reporting directly to the Senior Management team, the Senior Accountant will initially carry out a broad range of accounting duties, as well as being occasionally involved with audit delivery (audit exposure will be minimal and candidates with no audit experience would be considered).
The Senior Accountant Job:
• Supervising the output of accounts preparation for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• VAT returns
• Liaising directly with clients
• Assisting the Audit & Accounts Manager with workload planning
• Mentoring, training and managing more Junior members of the team
• Visiting client premises to complete and supervise Audit fieldwork
• Attending networking events and other Business Development activities
The ideal candidate will either be ACCA or ACA qualified, ideally with both Accounting & Audit experience gained in public practice. Experience of using IRIS software would be an advantage but not essential.
