We are currently looking to appoint an Electrician to join our Technical Team.

As an Electrician, you will be part of the Technical Services team resourcing internally contracted PPM and Reactive Maintenance, as well as small installation works. The role requires the candidate to be Electrically qualified, to undertake electrical tasks, as well as supporting Mechanical asset maintenance.

What you'll be doing:

Planned Preventative Maintenance

  • Complete Electrical PPM tasks within our buildings. This will include, Periodic Testing (such Electrical Installation Condition Report), Emergency Lighting Testing, PAT, Lamp and Ballast replacement.
  • Complete administrative tasks related to PPM’s.
  • Maintaining and improving electrical operational Standards within our buildings in Manchester.
  • Undertake and accurately record property, equipment and Health & Safety inspections.
Reactive Maintenance

  • Complete reactive maintenance tasks and minor repairs as required by the building FM team. This may include, tracing supplies, changing of light fittings, provision of temporary supplies, fuse changes and diagnostics.
  • Complete administrative tasks related to reactive maintenance tasks.
Small Works

  • Ability to suitably size and install small power, mechanical power and lighting installations.
  • Conduct metering installations to customer and landlord’s distribution.
  • Complete “final connections” between customer and landlord’s distribution/supply.
  • Part replacement of ageing gains installations in line with current standards and best practice.
  • Assist with Mechanical Small Works, including installation and termination of Controls wiring.
  • Review and approve works completed by contractors, and customer’s contractors.
What we're looking for:
  • City & Guilds/NVQ IEE 7671 17th edition
  • City & Guilds/NVQ 2360, Part 1 & 2
  • Knowledge of City & Guilds/NVQ 2391 Testing & Inspection
  • Significant experience in the building services arena, with proven experience working on M&E maintenance contracts
  • Experience of working in a high-volume PPM and reactive environment
  • Experience of working to in accordance with statutory compliance
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills
  • Practical approach to problem solving
  • High standards with a thorough approach and attention to detail
