IT Procurement Officer
A brand new opportunity for an IT Procurement Officer has arisen within a Major Financial Organisation, based within their Coventry head office. The role will be responsible for supporting the entire IT procurement team, getting involved with negotiating contracts and managing suppliers across all IT categories.
The role has a large focus on managing internal stakeholders, ensuring the procurement strategy is communicated across all internal departments. Along with resolving any ad hoc queries or questions from internal stakeholders, helping to strengthen the relationships between procurement and other internal departments.
Support entire IT Procurement team with a variety of tasks
Get involved with negotiating contracts with suppliers
Gather information for tenders across all IT categories
Support with all sourcing activities
Managing supplier relationships with both new and existing supply base
Carry out market analysis, identifying any cost saving opportunities
Run reports, analysing spend data and presenting findings to procurement team
Communicate procurement strategy across internal departments
Develop relationships with stakeholders, along with resolving any queries they on an ad hoc basis
Help develop a new contract renewal process
Carry out any administrative duties required
Experience within IT Procurement
Understanding of all IT categories along with products and suppliers involved
Contract management experience
Proven negotiation experience
MCIPS qualified or working towards (Desirable not essential)
