Kingston Noble are currently working with an established residential/care provider with homes across the UK.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join an existing dedicated team working within a prestigious elderly care home in Tile Hill, Coventry.

A visually stunning home situated in the suburbs of Coventry providing residential, dementia and respite care. Residents have access to a variety of daily activities and social events, many taking advantage of the onsite Hair and Nail Salon to prepare. A large garden and terrace accessed in a number of ways including via the onsite cafe can be enjoyed by all residents whether it be to site and relax or stretch their legs.

Duties/Responsibilities: -

  • Provide person centered care and personal care to residents in all aspects of their daily living

  • Responsible for the ordering, administration and auditing of prescribed medication to residents.

  • Supporting residents at meal times, in accordance with their individual needs

  • Providing support to colleagues, through leadership by example, mentoring and coaching, acting as a positive role model, enabling the care team to deliver high standards.

  • Contribute fully to team working, responding positively to colleagues and acting upon all reasonable work instructions promptly. Communicating effectively to the wider team, including multi-disciplinary teams, handovers, team meetings, actively contributing to ensure the well-being of all residents.

  • Take reasonable care of equipment used to carry out tasks, including general cleanliness and advising on any faults or the need for maintenance or replacement

  • Take an active interest in your personal and professional development by, contributing to supervision and appraisal meetings, attending team meetings and training

  • Contribute to the personal and professional development of colleagues by, undertaking supervision and appraisal meetings, attending team meetings and identification of training needs.

  • Adhere to all company and local policies/procedures

  • Develop positive professional relationships with residents, visitors and colleagues

You need:

Essential:

  • Minimum 12 months’ experience at a Senior level

  • Hold or are working towards a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care

Desirable:

  • Administration of Medication
