As part of the NMR Group of Companies, we require a Full Time Senior Laboratory Engineer located in Four Ashes but the successful applicant will be provided with a company car as travel to the other NMR Group laboratories will be required.

The Senior Laboratory Engineer will be responsible for managing the laboratories maintenance and engineering team of 3 staff to ensure that the laboratory equipment at the Wolverhampton, Hillington and Ireland is serviced, repaired and maintained to a satisfactory standard. An electrical or mechanical engineering qualification or experience working within a milk testing lab primarily with Foss equipment will be required.

As a Senior Laboratory Engineer you will:

Be responsible for instrument repairs, maintenance and services; undertake stock maintenance and liaison with suppliers to ensure parts are available to keep the instruments maintained and operating accurately. The successful applicant will ensure “up time” is kept to a maximum at peak periods with instruments that are maintained and serviced to an agreed schedule.

The role will also manage the Engineering Team of 3 staff ensuring engineering resources are available and appropriately trained, including Health and Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for instrument repairs, maintenance and services.
