The RoleWe are looking for a Development Manager for an incredible arts charity in Birmingham to develop new funding partnerships across broad income streams with a focus on corporate partnerships and high value donors.Provide support to the Executive Director, Artistic Director and Trustees when making asks and ensure that the most appropriate individuals are involved in key approaches and follow up. Starting from a small base of donors, identify and cultivate new donors and funding streams from all sectors, through your existing contact network and carrying out appropriate research. Develop new relationships with the corporate sector to secure financial support; starting from a position of no corporate sponsors, devise and implement corporate giving campaigns and strategies to meet annual targets drawing upon the companys international unique reputation and local social impact outputs.Prepare materials tailored for individual approaches and donors and provide monitoring information and reports as required. Develop and deliver individual and corporate giving schemes and events.Develop effective platforms and materials to communicate with donors including regular digital newsletters.Develop digital platforms such as crowdfunding around our proven outcomes, social media and new website.Populate a database with potential and actual supporters.Manage the work of the Development Co-ordinator. The CandidateDemonstrable initiative, entrepreneurship, imagination, perseverance and nerves of steel.A proven track record in connecting to wider supporters preferably in fundraisingA self- starter with demonstrable evidence of ability to work in a multi skilled and small team.Proven ability to attract and secure new support and the skills necessary to build and sustain existing and new relationshipsExperience of digital giving/crowdfunding/social media Outstanding and persuasive communication skills, both written and face to faceStrong organisational and administrative skills with a systematic approach Ability to meet and monitor ambitious targets and/or outcomesA proactive and enthusiastic approach to work IMPORTANT NOTEThis role has no set closing date and the manager is reviewing CVs on application so please do get in touch ASAP.Our aim is to respond to all successful applications within 5 days.
