If you are currently working in an Events Agency or Venue Sales Office, have a minimum of three years’ sales experience and are looking to take the next step in your career, then please read on!

Working within our Agency & Venue sales team, we are looking to recruit at Account Manager level. We are seeking a team player with a driven and can-do attitude to strengthen the team in dealing with day to day incoming enquiries, but also with an emphasis on business development to strengthen relationships with our agent & venue partners.

Based in our Trentham office, this is a full time and permanent role – your time may be split along the lines of:

· Three days working on incoming enquiries. Dealing with the entire process through from enquiry to sale, organisation and then post-event follow up.

· One day spent on business development calls and identifying those in need of a visit.

· One day spent out on appointments at our agency & venue partners, updating them on the benefits of working with KDM Events.

About the company: Established in 1990, KDM Events specialises in organising and delivering a vast range of corporate events – from conferences and team-building, to gala awards dinners and themed parties. Voted “Best Event Provider” at the 2017 M&IT Awards!

About the individual: As well as possessing excellent office administration skills & being confident on the telephone, you must be of smart appearance and have a confident manner, with an engaging personality! A lively mind, good organisational skills, tenacity and a total commitment to first class customer service are also a must.

Salary & Progression: will depend upon the abilities and experience of the person appointed with a basic salary in the range of £20,000 to £26,000 per annum, with a company bonus scheme in operation additionally. Company pool cars are available for appointments.

Progression within the company is dependent on both company and individual performance. However we hope that the next step from this role is to progress towards Account Director level, requiring less involvement in day to day enquiries & more responsibility for high level relationships.

Regular training is provided on our newly created events which most recently have been activities such as Beatboxing, Zorb Ball Racing and entering our giant inflatable Crystal Dome!
