TECHNICAL ARCHITECT
Salary DOE GBP 50k car parking, 25 days holiday
Based in Lichfield

My client is a leading print and packaging solutions company, with a specialism in providing services to organisations in the Chemical and Pharmaceutical sectors. They provide end-to-end totally integrated solutions to organisations looking to outsource their print and packaging needs or something more bespoke as a part of a business' overall Supply Chain.#

They were established over 15 years ago and are now working with variety of well-known clients across the world.

Role: working in a team, reporting to Lead Solutions Architect you will be:
. liaising with the Business Analyst and developers as appropriate to translate identified requirements into documented technical solutions (to enable developers to implement solutions efficiently using the most effective architecture), together with identifying issues.
. Composing, presenting and communicating technical information about products and services
. Working with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product, audience, and documentation requirements.
. Analysing existing and potential content, focussing on re-use and single sourcing opportunities.
. Creating and maintain the information architecture.
. Writing, editing, revising, updating copy, instructions and technical information for use by development.

Essential skills:
. Degree in Information Technology, Communication, or equivalent qualification(with a specialisation in technical communication/writing)
. turn complex technical concepts and jargon into easily understandable text
. Awareness of graphic design, and the processes involved in print and online publishing
. Up to date knowledge of developments and trends within technical writing and communication
. Knowledge of the system development life cycle and software development
. Experience of working with a range of publications software (including Word, Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator and Paint Shop Pro)
. Experience of working with UMC; Java; Web design; cloud application architecture; UML.
. Experience of working with hibernate; angular;
. Databases, specifically Oracle.
