We are working with a well-established commercial vehicle main dealership in the area who are looking to recruit an experienced and hands on HR Manager to further enhance the HR function within the company and provide HR support to each business.

The ideal candidate will have

* An ability to create and implement staff retention policies applicable to each business unit
* An ability to create and implement industry leading policies and procedures to ensure the company and its employees work to latest legislative requirements
* To work with the management team to develop long term strategic HR plans.

* Identify training and development needs through job analysis, renewal of core competencies, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with the management team.
* Sound understanding of current HR laws. - Although the company will provide access to specialist lawyers when required

* Advise the management team on organisational best practice, major HR trends and developments.
* Assist managers on the implementation of 'best practice' HR policies and procedures
* Production of Board Reports, letters, contracts, reports and associated administration.
* Develop and manage the on-going relationship with the payroll provider ensuring all internal processes run efficiently.
* Work with internal and external training providers to ensure the development and delivery of training courses as required.
* Manage the recruitment and resourcing functions, utilising innovative direct sourcing methods as well as managing external recruitment suppliers
* Develop effective on-boarding programme.


* Substantial previous experience in a senior HR role within a multi-functional organisation.
* Commercial awareness and strong strategic vision
* CIPD qualified
* Record of success in introducing people strategies and associated policies in line with business strategies and goals
* Up to date working knowledge of Employment Law


On offer is a basic salary up to GBP40,000 plus car / car allowance, 25 days holiday, pension and private health.
