Business Overview

My client is an established company within Worcestershire. Established in 1974, with 1 site they have spent the last 5 years expanding and currently operate out of 7 sites. They supply on a global scale to the Automotive, Rail, Aerospace and MOD industries. Due to continued success, they are now looking to add committed and skilled people to the team.

What the company are looking for a candidate

The ideal assembler/operator will hold a relevant qualification within Engineering or have a proven background within the industry. You must have a proactive approach to your work, being able to manage your own build/work time on the job in accordance with the estimated times to build the products.

Main Duties:

- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level

- Document actions by completing production OEE paperwork and relevant dimensional data sheets

- Ensure products are to the correct tolerances and meet customer and internal standards and specifications

- Load components into correct containers for next process

- Ensure equipment is within calibration date and all systems are functioning correctly

- Ensure achievement of production throughput against KPI's

- Follow work instructions and established procedures and comply with quality standards

- Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components

- material and put together parts to build more complex units

- Check output to ensure highest quality and escalate quality and production concerns

Essential:

- BIW robot hemming experience an advantage

- Proven experience in automotive body panel assembly

- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing working environment

- Quality focus with an eye for detail

- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing

- Demonstrable experience working to ISO and TS Standards with experience of working in a KPI environment

Salary and Hours

- 38.75 hours a week

- GBP9 - GBP11.00 per hour depending on experience

- Two shift patterns - role requires flexibility

- Continental shift - 4on 4off

- Early and Late rotation - Mon to Fri (05.30am - 13.45pm/13.30pm - 21.45pm
