We are in search of a Mechanical/Automotive Dyno Kit Support Engineer to work in the Powertrain Dyno Kitting Department supporting prototype and production engine testing.

The Dyno Kit Team provide equipment such as ECU, harnesses, AIS, exhausts and consumable components that enable prototype and production engines to interface to engine test bed facilities. Their role requires a resourceful and lateral thinking engineer capable of problem solving and planning ahead. This role can be reactive as well as proactive and often requires strong communication skills and strength of character; an ability to operate under pressures, delivering support to high profile engine and transmission programmes is necessary. Diplomacy and negotiation skill are every day requirements.

We have identified 3 Key Skills for this role:

1) Experience of Engine Test Beds / Testing.

2) Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency.

3) Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work within a team.

Other experience preferred to help any candidates stand out includes but is not limited to:

- Degree or Engineering Apprenticeship.
- Experience of fault finding and problem solving.
- Project Management Experience would be advantageous.

Please note:This can be a fast paced role that often requires work outside of the standard working day. It could involve occasional travel abroad with short lead times. Support is global where global operations are expanding.

The team is currently comprised of 5 personnel - This would make the 6th. 40 hours per week split across 5 days - 8 hours per day - Opportunities for overtime as the business requires. May involve some out of hours work and weekends when global support is required.
