Based in Worcestershire GBP9.00-GBP11.00 - Temp to Perm

Business Overview

My client is a market leader in metal forming, supplying to a wide range of markets including Automotive, Aerospace, Rail and Medical, with a prestigious automotive customer base such as Ferrari and McLaren. Due to continued success, they are now looking to add committed and skilled people to the team.

What the company are looking for a candidate

The successful candidate will work as part of the Manufacturing Team to satisfy customer demand in a productive and safe manner, whilst ensuring required Quality standards are met. They will be involved in problem solving, training, continuous improvement and product development in the forming process.

Main Duties:

- Measure, document and effectively communicate downtime

- Monitor and support tool changes up to first conforming product is signed off

- Immediately raise downtime issues through technical maintenance or supervision

- Manage next job through maintaining housekeeping and ownership of materials/fixture racks

- Assist new product introduction

- To produce components in accordance with work instructions, customer quality requirements, and to specified rates of production.

- Involvement in Continuous improvement activities (e.g. SMED and 5S)

- Care and maintenance of machinery and associated tooling (planned maintenance)

- Understand and adhere to standard operating procedures

- Adhere to quality procedures such as first off, last off and quality critical checks

- Undertake additional training to develop and improve skills as the company requires

- Ensure all good Health and Safety practices are being followed

- To undertake any other duties as may be required in line with company objectives.


- Proven experience operating large hydraulic presses in a fast-paced working environment

- Fork Lift Truck experience

- Demonstrable experience working to ISO and TS Standards with experience of working in a KPI environment

- Experience working in an automotive environment

Salary and Hours

- 38.75 hours a week

- GBP9.00 - GBP11.00 per hour depending on experience

- Two shift patterns - role requires flexibility

- Continental shift - 4on 4off

- Early and Late rotation - Mon to Fri (05.30am - 13.45pm/13.30pm - 21.45pm
