The role of the Account Manager is to identify and track definite opportunities for specified business from Architect through to the wholesaler and to manage the sales foretasted pipeline through to completion

Duties for the Account Manager
• Manage a designated profile of building projects using internet based software package and MS office.
• Work to achieve set targets for unearthing opportunities to a set criteria
• Liaise with Architects, Contractors, Distributors and End users to maximise sales and opportunities
• Work with the field to convert pipeline opportunities and maximise sales from prospects whilst managing opportunities to a foretasted pipeline
• Ensure all projects are recorded accurately throughout the sales process
• Identify who to speak to and when in the process they need to be contacted

Experience for the Account Manager
• Ideally 2 years' experience in a dynamic administration or telesales role
• Experience or understanding of the building and specification industry
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong technical understanding of electrical products
• Understanding of the constituent parts of the end-to-end process of the business.
• Mathematical ability and knowledge of Microsoft word and excel
• Capable of working with and manipulating IT systems
• Ability to logically analyse data effectively
• Be able to understand the commercial opportunities from a variety of building project types, timetables and commercial structures.
• Understand the complexity of the commercial relations in the full building process
