Vehicle Technician - HGV and Fleet
About the role:
We currently have a permanent opportunity for an experienced, motivated and qualified Vehicle Technician to join our busy servicing team. You will be responsible for repairing, fault finding, servicing and maintaining Severn Trent Waters diverse range of vehicles within our fleet including; Cars, Light Commercial Vehicles, HGV's and specialised Plant Equipment.
You will attend to unscheduled maintenance and emergency work as required to minimise vehicle downtime and present company vehicles for annual testing ensuring STW target pass rates are achieved.
This is an opportunity for a qualified Vehicle Technician to expand their technical skill set on a broad and varied fleet, whilst having the opportunity to become a key asset in an industry leading fleet operation within a FTSE 100 company.

The successful candidate will have completed a recognised Apprenticeship with City & Guilds qualifications or NVQ equivalent in motor vehicle craft.
Experience of HGV, various makes and models of commercial vehicles/cars, mobile plant including agricultural and construction would be beneficial along with experience of maintaining auxillary equipment e.g. cranes, compressors, generators, vacuum and displacement pumps etc.
It is desirable but not essential that the successful candidate holds a HGV Class 1 driving license. We will support the right candidate to obtain their qualifications.
