ASD Teaching Assistant Job
Monarch Education are currently looking to recruit specialist teaching assistants (TA) in Coventry who have experience working with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Autism currently affects 1 in 45 children in the UK with the number rising every year. Children from the age of 3 to 17 require support every day in school to tackle the barriers they come up against due to Autism. The main source of support while at school for Autistic children is their teaching assistant.
The job we are recruiting for in Coventry includes working one-to-one with an autistic child and supporting them with work in class. The job would also involve a lot of time spent with the child helping to improve social and interpersonal skills.
Ideally, you will have worked with children with ASD before and have an understanding of the needs of children with Autism. Empathy, communication and dedication are essential to success in this role as the job will be a long term placement to provide continuity for the child and school.
Working with Monarch Education you will have access to a range of teaching assistant jobs in Coventry and the surrounding area in primary, secondary and dedicated SEND schools. As an agency we have been established in Coventry for around 15 years and have a large number of teachers and teaching assistants working with us. I offer all staff a friendly and personal service and like to meet everyone I send to schools so I can dedicate time to listening to your needs and to find out what you want from a job and aim to find that for you. As an agency, we also offer our teaching assistants competitive pay rates for the jobs they are doing.
