As the UK tax specialist you will play a key role in the organisation helping to minimise tax exposure where possible. You will also ensure that all aspects of tax compliance are adhered to in a timely manner, regularly liaising with HMRC and external advisors. The role is broad as it encompasses Personal Tax, VAT and Corporation Tax.
Another dimension to the role involves giving assistance as to the Human Resources function in respect of employment legislation.
You will be educated to degree level and have a formal accounting qualification such as ACA, CIMA, ACCA or CTA combined with three years' post qualification experience across a range of taxation issues.
Experience of US GAAP, UK tax legislation and preparation of VAT returns, annual returns and statutory accounts is essential.
You will be comfortable working across all levels in the organisation and challenging decisions and processes where appropriate. This will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly to various audiences. Report writing and analytical skills will also be essential.
This is a busy role and you will need to priorities your work based on business needs. You will be self-motivated and determined meaning you are prepared to work the hours required to complete tasks. Adopting a flexible and agile approach will be necessary in our dynamic work environment.
There may be a small amount of overseas travel required.
