ISS are one of the world's leading service organisations and we are actively recruiting for a European Management Accountant on a 6 month fixed term basis.

The European Management Accountant will provide accurate and timely reporting and analytical support to the European management, operations and commercial finance teams based at the ISS Technical Service Centre in Stoke on Trent.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of quality financial and performance information that will support commercial and operational decision making across the European region to drive business performance. They will also ensure that European business processes are delivered in accordance with ISS and client corporate policies and in a way which protects and enhances the image and reputation of ISS.

A final part of the role is responsibility for the development, maintenance and preparation of periodic management information; the candidate will need to have strong data analysis skills and an aptitude for working with systems as you will be expected to play a key part in building and improving processes in the organisation.

Overview of Responsibilities:-

Responsible for the development, maintenance and timely and accurate preparation of all financial performance reports and associated analysis across TS contracts within the European region.

Identify opportunities for improvement in respect of the effectiveness and efficiency of all performance and financial reporting across all European contracts.

Liaise and support all stakeholders involved in European financial processes including payroll bureaus, European subcontractors and in country teams.

Key European contact within the commercial finance team for all accounting and reporting systems.

Development of KPI's, whilst understanding Key stakeholders requirement's, ISS governance and standard processes.

Evaluation of current financial controls and costings and identification of improvements.

Technical system usage, improvement and development.

Support the European operations team and UK TS finance team with ad hoc projects and duties.

On-going establishment of finance as a valued and integral part of the operating business, developing and maintaining a professional and proactive business relationship with all levels of stakeholders.

Applications are invited from qualified or part qualified management accountants who have previous experience within a similar role ideally across the European region.

In terms of qualifications ideally CIMA, ACCA or a degree level qualification in a numeric related discipline in addition to comprehensive management accounting experience in complex, service provider, matrix type organisations.

Additional requirements for the role include:-

Proven knowledge and experience of developing management information using systems including excel and access and / or multidimensional database management systems.

A good understanding of management accounting processes across the European region.

A pro-active approach and desire to support by supplying management information to enhance performance improvement.

Advanced systems experience to all Microsoft Office programmes and Maximo or similar system.
