Working alongside the Senior Grants Officer and Grants Manager, you will be a key player within the organisation, working to generate income by research, design, writing ad submitting detailed applications and bids for capital and revenue funds to ensure crucial support for our much needed services.

The role:

  • Develop bid winning proposals as set out in the overall business plan and grants strategy
  • Deliver a targeted programme of trust and grants fundraising to meet the needs of the organisation
  • Pro-actively identify profile and prioritise new trusts to develop a funding plan to achieve income targets
  • Produce accurate substantiated and compelling content for each bid
  • Manage the bid information documentation, activities, resources and communication flow so that bids are delivered successfully, on time, to quality standards and budget
  • Establish effective working relationships with all funders
  • Liaise with users, providers and other agencies in identifying opportunities for joint working and innovation
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure the work undertaken complies with safeguarding and child protection, equal opportunities, health and safety and other policies and guidelines

You must be:

  • Educated to O-level/GCSE English and maths or equivalent
  • A relevant degree or equivalent would be desirable
  • Have experience and success of writing bids and grant applications
  • Understand the bid writing process and awarding authorities requirements
  • Experience of developing and implementing a fundraising strategy and working in the children and young people sector would be a definite advantage
