An opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Project Assistant with experience of high level admin support to provide assistance to a growing and busy department for a period of circa six months. The role is temporary and paying up to GBP13.30 ltd co, per hour.


  • Collate and coordinate inputs from relevant cross functional teams
  • Use the departments project management tools and methodologies effectively to support the management of the project including reporting, risk register maintenance, issue escalation, timing plan creation and activity planning
  • Scheduling, agenda setting and governance of all cross functional forums
  • Production of all reports, minutes and follow up of actions and governance activities with cross functional stakeholders
  • Track status against deliverables
  • Co-ordinator of the outputs from each area to develop and manage activity trackers shared with the Regional Program managers and buyers
  • Ensure activities are on track and up to date, escalation through to PM
  • Support continuous improvement of PMO tools

Candidate profile:

  • Degree qualified in either purchasing or business related discipline
  • Data management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interact at personal levels with Senior Management
  • Ability to manage work load and drive positive results
  • Pedantic attention to detail in all aspects of work
  • Demonstrate a positive, proactive and supportive set of behavioural/personality traits
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet demanding timescales
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Intermediate to Advance user in Excel and Word)
