Located in central Birmingham my client primary school is keen to appoint a graduate LSA/Teaching Assistant to join them as a Learning Support Assistant/TA. Ideally, they would like the recruited graduate to start at the beginning of the new academic year. This is a full time position, during term time and will require a commitment to working 5 days a week for the rest of the academic year.

The school is a large primary with close to 800 pupils across its nursery, early years and Key Stage 1 and 2 classes. The school, under the guidance of a positive and dynamic head teacher, have taken the school from an Ofsted 'Requires Improvement' to a 'Good' school in recent years.

In order to maintain the school's high levels of literacy standards they are looking for an academically gifted English graduate to work closely with pupils in one of their Nursery classes. The recruited candidate will be supporting reading, play, letters and numbers. There will be additional small group and some one-on-one support. The school has a proportion of SEN pupils with various learning disabilities and these pupils will require extra support.

This role of Graduate Learning Support Assistant/TA will be ideal for those wishing to go on to train to be a teacher, be that at secondary or primary level. It will provide the candidate with some fantastic experience which should give them a head start over their peers when they start teacher training.

This position is all about academic excellence combined with the motivation, flexibility and determination to succeed at whatever tasks you are given. If you are enthusiastic, reliable and 100% committed to education then this Teaching Assistant role could be perfect. Please send you CV to Patrick at Edustaff today.
