This secondary school, located south east of the city centre, has approached Edustaff to help them recruit a passionate and knowledgeable physics graduate to join their school as a Teaching Assistant.

The school has a rich and diverse mix of pupils giving any prospective, future teacher the opportunity to develop class room skills that will stand them in excellent stead on the road to becoming a qualified teacher.

My client is a high achieving school that demands the best from both its pupils and teaching staff. Your excellent knowledge across the sciences and in particular physics will be used to good advantage supporting a small number of pupils in the subject as well as in maths. As well as your degree speciality you should have a good knowledge of general science in order to offer the best possible support to their pupils.

You will be well supported in your role as a Physics Graduate Teaching Assistant by the head of the faculty and other teaching staff. This will give you the opportunity to gain invaluable classroom experience and learn best practice prior to studying to be a teacher, whichever route you take.

For the right candidate there is the opportunity - in 2018 - to join one of the school's School Direct teacher training places, giving you the opportunity to gain qualified teacher status at this fantastic school.

This position is all about academic excellence combined with the motivation, flexibility and determination to succeed at whatever tasks you are given. If you are enthusiastic, reliable and 100% committed to education then this Physics Teaching Assistant position could be perfect. Please send you CV to Patrick at Edustaff today.
