Our prestigious client based in Fradley Park is seeking an inventory procurement planner to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

Main responsibilities:

- Procurement of products and components in line with production and commercial demand

- Analysis of requirements through Nav ERP system

- Analysis of requirements through manual issue of Sales Order

- Creating forecasts for key products based on historical sales and other external influencing factors

- Analyse and interrogate historical usage of products to establish procurement patterns

- Negotiating with suppliers and placing purchase orders based on demand

- Understand long lead time items and how that will affect procurement

- Assist in rationalising supplier base where possible

- Create and develop schedule for supplier price variations and update ERP system (Nav)

- Close liaison with Production Manager to establish production needs

- Establish and understand current capacity and lead times

- Plan component orders around the above

- Improving processes

- Review day to day planning processes and suggest improvements to remove waste and add value

- Ensuring processes fall in line with future ERP implementation

Qualifications and experience:

- Procurement experience within a manufacturing environment (essential)

- CIPS Level 3 or equivalent (desirable)

- Experience in Supply Chain Management and understanding of principles (desirable)

- Experience and understanding of ERP, MPS and MRP systems within manufacturing and warehousing environments, including data management, data structures, statistical analysis and batch & requisition ordering (desirable)

In return our client is offering an attractive salary of GBP23,000 per annum as well as on-site parking.
