We are currently recruiting for a variety of different Production Operative roles for our prestigious client, Rolls Royce, based in Trentham. The roles will involve the manufacture of small Ceramic parts for the Aerospace Industry. This is an exciting time at Rolls Royce at Trentham. With year on year growth they are looking to expand and increase their team. What better time for you to join their team!

The duties of a Production Operative include:

  • Preparing mixtures ready to be moulded,
  • Fettling and cleaning of the small moulded ceramic product
  • Quality checking the finished product

The duties will vary depending on which department you are working in.

THE FIT

To succeed as a Production Operative you will have:

  • Keen eye for detail as the ceramic parts are tiny
  • Good hand to eye coordination
  • Have not only an eye for quality but also a desire to produce and finish a quality product each and every time
  • Have the motivation to succeed to ensure you achieve the minimum production rate for your role
  • Be able to work to deadlines and targets

If you have worked in the pottery industry before that would be great - however this is not essential.

THE GOOD STUFF

  • Rotating shifts 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10.00pm Monday to Friday
  • When you start perm you can get prescription goggles and a jacket with your name on free of charge!
  • 28 days annual leave rising to 33 days upon receiving a permanent contract
  • Free on-street parking
  • Good working environment
  • On site canteen plus a hot food/butty van just down the road
  • Breaks of 30 minutes on each shift. You don't need any longer as you are working on a busy industrial estate.
  • Opportunity to be employed by Rolls Royce after 12 weeks on assignment
  • Being able to say that you work for Rolls Royce!

THE NITTY GRITTY

  • You will provide your own safety shoes
  • Standards are high - you will have to undertake a full drug and alcohol test before you could start
  • Rolls Royce insist on full background checks prior to starting which includes criminal record checks, employment and financial history. These checks would be carried out during the induction process. Sorry - CCJ's and Bankruptcy would mean you would not be suitable. Spent convictions - these would be considered by Rolls Royce and dependent upon the conviction a decision would be made.

Hey - but this is all worth it to say you work for Rolls Royce!
