The Role

Your main responsibility as a Software Architect will be to provide technical leadership in the creation and evolution of the software content for a complex electro/mechanical device. Reporting to the Software Manager, you will be the point of contact for all software related enquiries within the business, often liaising between the software team and the other engineering disciplines. You'll be heavily involved in the origination, maintenance and review of software architectures, as well as maintaining the integrity of the system. You'll be required to make sure that all software content adheres to medical device regulations and standards, as well as satisfying the needs of the product development team.


The ideal Software Architect will be degree educated (or have equivalent industry experience) and have a strong background in delivering complex software. Experience in a safety critical, real time or high intensity environment is essential, and knowledge of C or MISRA would be nice to have. You'll have full software lifecycle experience and a good understanding of the V-Model. A candidate who comes from a multi-disciplinary background would be suitable for this role and knowledge of Software Development tools such as Agile and Scrum will certainly hold you in good stead.
