JOB TITLE: Practice NurseJOB REFERENCE NUMBER: VAC-15104JOB TYPE: Practice NurseSALARY: Negotiable depending on experienceAgenda Recruitment is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work full-time or part-time at a GP surgery in Walsall.Job Summary:a)The post holder is an experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.b)They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice.c)The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process.Key Responsibilities:To provide nursing treatment to patients in collaboration with the general practitioners or independently in accordance with Practice Policy.Duties will include:a)Respond to medical problems presented by patients including history taking, examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment and referral where appropriate.b)Provision of appropriate preventative health care and advice within the context of primary health care.c)Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and practice protocols, and within scope of practice.d)Maintain the patient's clinical record to a high standard and take all reasonable steps to safeguard the confidentiality of the medical notes of your patientse)Contribute to evaluation /audit and clinical standard setting.f)To make full contribution towards the Health Care Team's aims and objectives ensuring effective teamwork by attending meetings relating to duties.g)Subject to your other duties, you are required to seek to work in a co-operative way with staff at all times. h)Undertake clinically related administration needed for the delivery of medical services.i)To teach, develop and support all health care professionalsj)Provide cover, where necessary, for absent colleagues during periods of annual leave or sickness. k)In exceptional circumstances, provide additional services on an emergency basis as are within the post holder's clinical competence and which would not otherwise jeopardise the delivery of medical services to patients.l)Undertake any other duties that are commensurate with the post and within the post holder's clinical competence.If you are interested in this opportunity, please do not hesitate to contact Lauren Hartley directly on
