Our client is looking for a Trainee 1st Line Support Technician.

They are looking for someone with a technical qualification (Electronic or Electrical or IT or Telecom industry would be ideal).

You don't have to be a Graduate but if you are if would be ideal.

They are looking for someone with a flexible attitude and can give commitment.

Important: You must have your own transport to get to work because the company are not on a bus route.

This is not a Call Centre job - this will be working in a small team of professional Technicians.

The role includes 1st line telephone support and troubleshooting of RF & IP based equipment.

The position involves assisting in commissioning of new services, troubleshooting, detailed fault finding and logical thinking to ensure they give a quality service to their clients.

After training you will be able to monitor & maintain a variety of client circuits and service links using technologies such as DVB, SCPC, iDirect & Vipersat. You will be able to track faults as and when they occur and assist in resolving them as well as assisting in installations.

This position is working on rotating shift pattern - it will involve working on a Day and Night Shift.

Ideally you will have some experience in the following:
• Electronic/Electrical Equipment and Technologies.
• Computer Network Hardware and Technologies.
• Computer Software Applications and Technologies
• Knowledge of use with Monitoring and Control Systems.
• RF/IF Test & Measurement Practices.
• Use of Spectrum Analysers and Oscilloscopes.
• Working with DVB/SCPC carriers.
• Working with Baseband Equipment such as Modems.
• Working with various Antennas and RF equipment.
• Working with Network Equipment and Technologies.

Additional Requirements/Information

Full Clean UK Driving License.

You will need to get a DBS check if offered the job.
