Our well-established client is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant, with a high level of computer literacy, to be responsible for the completion of day-to-day Finance operations.

Main Activities/Responsibilities:
- Recording bank transactions and reconciliations for subsidiary companies
- Compiling and posting timesheets
- Monthly cost allocation journals
- Assisting with monthly subcontractor payment runs
- Keeping sub-contractor VAT records up to date
- Assisting with purchase ledger invoices and queries
- Assisting with the compilation and processing of weekly payment runs
- Inter-company recharges
- Filing - electronically and paper based
- Managing own workload
- Maintaining areas of work in a clean and tidy state

Other Responsibilities:
- To assist other members of the Finance team
- Any other duties relevant to the role or as required by the manager
- Acting as an ambassador and embracing/supporting/promoting the Company's culture and values
- Seeking and developing ongoing continuous improvement
- To comply with any objectives/targets/KPI's given
- To comply with all Company policies including Health & Safety and Environmental/Sustainability Policies

Training & Development:
- Attending any internal/external training courses relevant to the role or as required by the Company
- Ongoing personal development

Knowledge/Experience/Attributes:
- Finance experience essential
- Accounting systems experience essential, knowledge of Microsoft NAV would be advantageous
- Attention to detail
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Good communication skills
- A good level of computer knowledge (intermediate/advanced level in MS-Excel desirable)
- Organised and pro-active
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Able to work on own initiative
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
