Student Support Assistant x 3 posts

Salary: GBP16,814 - GBP17,290 pro rata per annum

(Dependent on experience & qualifications)

Tenure: Full Time, Term Time Only- 38 weeks per annum, One year only contracts

We are seeking to recruit self-motivated individuals to join the Additional Learning Support Team. The successful candidates will support the integration of students with additional needs, including those with moderate to severe learning difficulties or disabilities, within the College. They will work closely with the Lecturers to ensure a suitable programme of support for the Students.

The postholders will work 37 hours over 38 weeks term time only on a permanent basis.

Applicants must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with a good standard of education in English and Maths (GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent) and previous experience of working with individuals who have MLDD/SpLD within an Education/Training setting. You will have an appropriate specialist qualification such as classroom assistant qualification or similar. Previous experience of working within Further Education and in receipt of an up to date first aid certificate would be desirable.
