Maintenance Technicians (Mechanical/ Electrical) (Multiple Vacancies)

This is an exciting time for Lear as the business has seen significant growth over the last few years and more recently completed some valuable acquisitions to greater support expansion. Due to the increase in business we are looking to complement our teams based across the country. We are currently recruiting forMaintenance Techniciansto support the business based at our JIT facility in Redditch.

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the Maintenance Technicians Follow established work methods and procedures in order to ensure the smooth running of equipment and the plant.

As a maintenance Technician you will proactively work to solve equipment issues using effective fault diagnosis skills and implement immediate containment, together with longer term innovative solutions

You will Ensure all documentation is completed as required and liaise with and members of the Industrial Engineering and Maintenance Team in order to communicate relevant information.

Follow routine and preventative maintenance programmes and undertake appropriate preventative maintenance checks during planned production downtime to ensure that the equipment and machinery are available for production.

The Maintenance Technician will carry out overhauls, upgrades and rebuild equipment, including machine and process modifications where appropriate, to ensure continuous improvement.

Undertake the commissioning and Installation of new equipment as required to support new production or the improvement of current processes

Maintain current and historical data on equipment efficiencies in order to aid in productivity and cost improvements. Carry out evaluation and risk assessments within all areas of the plant in order to ensure safe working methods and environment.

Undertake any training as necessary to ensure flexible job rotation and skills matrices are maintained in order to promote future development.

Your Profile

You will Experience of a similar maintenance environment and be qualified to 17th Edition Regulations and have the following or similar qualifications

- Tech certificate in Engineering/ Electrical Engineering
- NVQ Level 2

You will have experience in pneumatics and conveyor control systems, Indexing lines, electrical Installation. PLCs programming (Siemens S7, Allen Bradley) DC Hand Tools Industrial Ethernet & wireless communications.

This is a shift position and come with a generous up lift when working shifts
