This is an exciting time for Lear as the business has seen significant growth over the last few years and more recently completed some valuable acquisitions to greater support expansion. Due to the increase in business we are looking to complement our teams based across the country. We are currently recruiting for Warehouse Supervisors to support the business based at our JIT facility in Redditch.

Role Purpose

Reporting to Warehouse Manager you will responsible for the day to day management of people within the warehouse function, to ensure company's targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements.

You will Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with Lear requirements. By monitoring and reviewing operational methods to facilitate both qualitative and quantitative improvements in the operation and service to the customer, working with the CI team to identify and implement any opportunities for continuous improvement.

As a people manager you will be looked upon to build team philosophy and cultivate a team atmosphere by working with the team to achieve the company's targets and objectives.

Maintain training matrix and ensure employees are adequately trained and competent within their role to ensure operational flexibility. Ensure there is enough manpower to support the daily demands of the operation.

With being the people you will need to perform other duties that including performance management, appraisals, absence management procedures (including return to work interviews and keeping attendance records), disciplinary procedures and managing/reporting overtime to Line Manager.

The Warehouse Supervisor will also conduct the following duties:

Control of Fork Lift Truck management to ensure full operational capacity and achieve daily targets.

Ensure security of Warehouse environment and maintain access control, ensuring 5S housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.

Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system (DCI) and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy.

Ensure all WMS Procedures are adhered to, ensuring all inbound materials are located within their designated warehouse location per shift.

Record and communicate all shortage issues to the relevant Materials Analyst.

Facilitate and support management with stock takes as and when required.

Collate and record data on scrap and non-conforming materials within the Warehouse environment.

Manage the removal of obsolete material in a controlled manner.

Work closely with the Materials/Manufacturing team to problem solve issues.

To be responsible for collating and maintaining data for all relevant measurable and performance indicators, ensuring that trends are moving in a positive direction.

Responsible for ensuring that all company principles are taught and adhered to on a daily basis.

Demonstrate competency in using BPCS & Warehouse Management system (DCI)

Your Profile

You will Experience of a similar management role within the automotive industry ability to manage and supervise a team. Mathematically minded you will work well with data and figures ensuring warehouse accuracy is maintained. Having the ability to work in a pressurized environment is a must.

You will be qualified to HND or equivalent in Warehouse Management or/ and the following

NEBS management qualification or equivalent

NVQ Level 3 or above in warehouse management

Health & Safety qualification IOSHH
