The Company

We are currently working in partnership with a market leading FTSE business operating within a fast passed dynamic market. Due to significant growth they are looking to recruit a Cash & Banking Clerk in to their expanding site banking team.

The Role

The site banking team is responsible for the posting, reconciliation and investigation of anomalies with retail cash and card, across multiple legal entities for around 400 sites. Your responsibilities in this team will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for loading and reconciling journals from multiple systems for sales, petty cash and banking
  • Resolve queries and ensure deadlines are achieved ensuring all cash statement balances are inputted to the finance system
  • Responsible for loading and reconciling journals from multiple systems for sales, petty cash and banking
  • Support the team with the preparation and posting of journals to resolve incorrect entries
  • Investigate any discrepancies, raise queries and resolve any reconciliation issues impacted by the weekly cashflow statement
  • Enhance and improve current operational processes focusing on streamlining and ensuring efficiency, implementing necessary changes for process development
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to effectively build relationships to identify and meet those departments and clients' requirements

The Candidate

To be successful in this position you will need experience in a similar role and have ideally worked in an environment where you have managed high volumes, whilst also motivating others and assuring high standards. The successful applicant will have good problem solving and presentation skills and you would be the type of individual that works well in a busy, KPI focused and change environment. You would also have strong experience of Excel (pivot tables & V lookups).
