SHIFT - Continental Shift Pattern - 12 Hour Shifts - 3 On 3 Off days and nights

Our client; a global FMCG company and a leading player in the UK and worldwide food manufacturing sector. With ever increasing investment into their UK sites and due to expansion of one of its key sites they are now looking for 1 new Industrial Services Technician to work within their Industrial Services/Utilities department.
Reporting to the Senior Technician - Industrial Services / Utilities Department you will be responsible for effectively maintaining and developing the equipment and systems such as boilers, refrigeration, pumps, valves within the department in a manner that upholds the quality of the operation with regards to equipment downtime, product quality and cost effectiveness.
You will provide technical support to the Senior Technician and Industrial Services Manager, be a key problem solver when breakdowns occur, as well as continuously driving improvements across the performance of assets. You will also work to develop the technical skills within the operational teams.
Key to this role is the ability to prioritise well and demonstrate a sense of urgency whilst never compromising safety or product quality. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
The successful Industrial Services Engineer will have a time served apprenticeship in a relevant Engineering discipline and a higher qualification such as C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, ONC/HNC, OND/HND or degree.
Strong fault finding skills are essential and previous knowledge of a Computerised Maintenance Management System. Experience of working within a Power Plant, power station, brewery, oil refinery, sugar refinery, chemical manufacturing plant, coal mine, water treatment plants, dairy or similar could be suitable. Must have experience using PLCs for fault finding and problem diagnosis.
These roles will be suitable for Engineers who really want to develop their current skills and build a good long career with a company as this is what our client is looking to offer. People who have worked in chemical manufacturing, brewing, power stations, water treatment plants, tobacco processing, dairies, coal mines have typically done very well in these roles and progressed well in the business.
