Our client is a FTSE 100 household name operating in the Professional Services arena and due to continued expansion, they have an urgent requirement for a permanent HR Operations Business Partner position based in the Midlands with nationwide travel.

As part of a diverse and multi skilled HR team, the HR Business Partner will be providing operational HR Support to employees and Managers in a fast-moving commercial environment across many different businesses.

This role is a good mix of strategic/innovative HR & ER. Applicants must have good all round ER knowledge but alongside that you must also have strong strategic HR exposure to include health & wellbeing/talent management/pay & benefits etc. There are also more complex ER issues, ACAS reconciliation work, Employee Tribunals and Union interaction so experience in these areas is important.

Key Aspects of the role

  • Keeping all site employees appraised of current and new Employment Legislation.
  • Producing monthly HR reports and statistic for the HR Manager.
  • Addressing issues of high turnover, sickness and cost savings.
  • Seeking resolutions through settlement agreements or Employment Tribunals and managing the process through solicitors and ACAS.
  • Networking with the wider HR team.
  • Maintaining relationships with local Trade Union representatives.

To apply successfully you will have strong generalist HR experience within a commercial, multi-site environment, extensive Employee Relations exposure with a focus on talent management and attrition, and be used to supporting lots of team leaders with extensive experience of upskilling managers training on capability and working on a big cultural change piece.

It is important that applicants have Stakeholder management experience especially working to gain trust, improving relationships and remaining assertive whilst not being aggressive. Previous exposure of change management projects including TUPE and redundancies would be beneficial also.

This role would suit an influencer with a robust attitude, keen to build a supportive environment. You should be a confident communicator and team player who enjoys new challenges and have an up to date knowledge of Employment Law. CIPD Qualification is desirable but not essential.

This is a permanent role paying a salary of between £35,000 - £38,000 (depending on experience) + 10% car allowance.

The role has a high element of travel due to the sites you will have responsibility for including Northampton (2-3 times per month), Somerton (every month or as required), Stirling Park (every other month or as required), Birmingham (as required), Brighton (approx 2 times per month), and other locations as required (Gloucester, Gravesend, Wymondham, Bourton on the Water and Chippenham).
