We are currently recruiting for a Purchase Manager for our largest Midlands based Client, on an initial 52 Week contract.

The Purchase Manager role is responsible for the Procurement of Construction and Construction Design Services in support of the continued development of the Company's European Manufacturing Facility, based in Slovakia. The successful Candidate will be the Procurement lead, working with a number of Buyers who's responsibility it is, to deliver a series of trade packages.

Other responsibilities of the role include:

* Development of appropriate sourcing strategies, supplier selection and contract management.
* Work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to collate construction requirements.
* Lead Procurement strategies that deliver value for money and fit for purpose solutions ensuring project completion on time and to budget.
* Management of numerous suppliers and contracts across a range of construction disciples for example; Ground Works, Mechanical and Electrical, Structural Steelwork, Roofing and Cladding.
* Will require a large amount of travel within Slovakia, Europe and the UK.
* Lead a team of buyers to enable the delivery of this project - the buyers will be based in the UK and overseas.
* Provide strategic procurement leadership.
* Develop and lead multiple contract negotiations to support delivery of major construction projects.
* Manage supplier relationships and supplier performance.
* Deliver value added savings.

Skills Required:

1) Strong Leadership and influencing skills.

2) Excellent stakeholder management and relationship management skills and experience.

3) Strong buying and negotiating expertise.

Experience Required:

MCIPS Qualified Procurement Professional with 5 years management experience of managing large scale construction projects within tight time and budget constraints.

Experience Preferred:

Strong sense of business acumen experience in supplier management.

Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful commercial negotiations.

Experience of dealing with multi-national suppliers and delivering projects outside of the UK

Excellent communication skills

Knowledge of commercial construction contracts such as JCT and FIDIC.

The Candidate will be required to spend a significant amount of time overseas, in Slovakia. Must hold EU Citizenship to be eligible for the role
