We are currently looking for a CAD Designer - Body Interiors to work for a major automotive organisation based in West Midlands

Job Title: CAD Designer - Body Interiors

Location: West Midlands

Salary: Up to £45,000 + Healthcare & Pension

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

The Role:

*A CAD Designer is required to provide the integration of existing and new Body Interior systems into new and existing vehicles.

Key responsibilities

*Support release process and contribute to FMEA

*Perform concept studies of Body Interiors and layouts, as well as detailed component design, modelling and drawings

*Assist engineers in relaying design intent to suppliers

*Support in establishing component and/or system characteristics, attributes and requirements

*Support component design evolution

*Liaise with analysis teams to coordinate changes

*Support in packaging interfaces with neighbouring components and/or systems

*Liaise with package team and various suppliers to resolve design conflicts

*Manage own workload to ensure program milestones are met on-time

*Support design reviews and management reviews

*Travel with in the UK and to global suppliers will be required

Required Qualifications and Experience:

*4 years' minimum experience of Body Interior component design/engineering

*Minimum of 2 years CATIA V5, with 3+ years total 3D CAD solid modelling experience

*Creation of 2D drawings

*Experience using linked multi-model assemblies

*Highly motivated and a team player

*Good interpersonal and communication skills

*Good base Functional knowledge in a relevant Automotive Design Discipline

*Innovation and ability to think outside the "box"

*Experience with Enovia or Team centre
