Weekend Guest Services Assistant (Nights) - The Belfry Sutton Coldfield

We are currently accepting applications for the position of Guest Service Assistant for the Belfry Hotel and Golf Resort, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.
The Resort has been awarded ‘England’s Leading Resort & England’s Best Golf Hotel’ the past two years and ‘Europe’s Best Golf Resort’ 2016. The Belfry is proud of its rich sporting history and heritage, hosting the Ryder Cup four times in 1985, 1989, 1993 & 2002.

Scope of the Role:
As a Guest Service Assistant for The Belfry Hotel & Resort you will make it your number one priority to deliver an outstanding, lasting impression to all guests arriving and Departing the Resort. You will possess excellent customer service skills and identify opportunities to excel on customer experiences. No task will be too big or small when it comes to our guests needs.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

Meet and greet guests upon their arrival at the Hotel, assisting with luggage where necessary and ensuring first impressions are both professional and friendly.
Ensure all Porters carry out their duties to departmental standards on a day to day basis.
Store all left luggage, e.g. for early arrivals or late departures, in the porters lodge ensuring it is both tagged and secure.
Assist guests with luggage to and from their bedrooms as required, explaining the bedroom facilities and Hotel services as required.
To ensure all guests queries and enquiries are dealt with promptly and efficiently and in a courteous manner.
Sound knowledge of all guidance notes in the department safety file, including fire evacuation.
To ensure you are fully conversant with all facilities and services offered within the Hotel and the surrounding area.
Ensure the entrance, Reception and lobby areas are clean and tidy at all times.
Carry out other duties that may be necessary from time to time.
Be flexible and ready to assist in other departments as required, always ensuring that Guest Services and Front of House is your first priority.
To ensure the Porters Lodge is kept clean, tidy and secure along with the Reception area and main entrance.
To carry out regular cleanliness and security checks of all public areas, reporting any suspicious circumstances to the relevant Supervisor.

Experience Required:

Experience working in a hotel would be preferred but not essential.
