THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Their Buyers work closely with the Product Managers to execute the product strategy, working with the supply base to source and negotiate products the complement the overall range. You won’t be involved with day to day inventory planning; there’s a designated Inventory Planner that looks after that. Instead, your focus will be on core buying activities, including supplier sourcing, conducting and managing value negotiations with your suppliers, and performance managing your supply base across a number of key criteria.
We’re looking for someone with experience in purchasing, with an interest in working in a high volume distribution environment. Ideally you’ll be experienced in low value high volume manufacturing or distribution.
If your experience is in high value / low volume we’d still like to hear from you, you’ll just need to be able to talk to us about how you’ve managed a high degree of variability across your supply chain, from both a materials and supplier perspective.
