I am recruiting for a Reporting Analyst on behalf of my client. My client is a leading provider of warranties, insurances and underwriting expertise to the manufacturing, banking, motor and affinity markets both in the UK and worldwide.

Job Description:
Reporting to, and assisting the Director of Underwriting, you will be responsible for following the set guidelines. You will take an active role in evaluating and measuring the risks and exposures of existing clients to protect the long term viability of the business. In addition, you will assist the Director of Underwriting to develop and maintain existing and new relationship's with the Groups Insurers.

As a Reporting Analyst, you will be required to have a general understanding of the basic workings of the Insurance Market as whole. You will need the ability to absorb technical information, have an analytical mind, possess the ability to make decisions, have advanced skills in numeracy, literacy, negotiation and interpersonal and communication skills. You will need to be able to retain confidence, sound judgement and the willingness to use your own initiative and work to and achieve tight deadlines whilst maintaining the team ethos of "Quality solutions made simple through our commitment to excellence".

Main Tasks
1. Conducting the month end updates of the internal underwriting statistics, documenting their successful updates, providing and promoting the relevant statistics to the relevant insurers.
2. Downloading and creating the performance report of all business, analysing and monitoring all accounts along with highlighting accounts that are not performing well and advising on actions to correct
3. Renewing the monthly divisional performance reports in preparation for the monthly reviews with the company's main insurer and providing the statistics to all relevant parties.
4. Preparing for the monthly divisional reviews by managing the completion / updates on all actions delegated to the underwriting department.
5. Amending the profit share reserves report with the renewed statistics, ensuring they are accurate and proving these to the company's key insurer.
6. Aiding the team's completion of their individual Key Performance Indicators and fulfilling the team's Key Performance Indicators including presenting these to the Operations Director in electronic format.
7. Administering the team's internal analysis of various fields.
8. Producing the key internal management reports designed to give an overview of the company's performance from an underwriting perspective.
9. Documenting the responses from the company's Customer Satisfaction Index
10. Producing and providing accurate and bespoke reports to the sales team
11. Aiding the team's internal testing of existing data and new data to ensure that it is accurate and correct, including testing of new schemes and prices, running reports to show existing data that has missing fields and evaluating any anomalies in the teams internal reports. Advising and liaising when this is not correct to other departments and to action fixes when this is a team reporting issue.
12. Providing historic data and analysis to the company's insurer(s).
13. Managing any requests from customers in a compliant, professional, consistent and fair manner and acting with integrity.
14. Aiding the organisation and managing the team's BSI Manual including establishing an efficient and effective system of updating and creating manuals when required.
15. Preparing for internal and external meetings and producing minutes and actions after meetings have occurred, ensuring all parties have received the written up notes.
16. Monitoring support calls for the team, and agreeing when corrected and liaising with the business to help resolve issues and to report any incorrect fixes.
17. Controlling and responding to all correspondence, including verbal, electronic and written, in a timely fashion, conducting yourself in a professional and integral manner, developing relationships built.
18. Updating all internal HR personal requirements on a regular basis, including but not limited to Learning and Development folder and Training Plan.
19. Providing cover for the switchboard, as and when required, answering all telephone calls in a timely fashion and conducting yourself in a polite, professional and integral manner.
20. Assisting the Management and the creation, adaption, amendment and overall management of the Policy Wordings.
21. Monitoring Regulatory channels to ensure that you are up to date on all regulation applicable to the business, improving your understanding of the regulation and industry bodies' guidance, revising any information that another member of the team may supply to you on updated, amended or new regulation or guidance.
22. Any other duties that the company may reasonable require.
