Help Desk Agent - Birmingham

Oliver William Recruitment are looking for a Help Desk Agent to join an exciting, internationally renowned Facilities Management company in Birmingham.

The company are looking for a Help Desk Agent to deliver the requirements of the client and the Facilities Management Team. To be responsible for the coordination of maintenance and trades people across the various Branches of the company. This includes receiving incoming phone calls from clients and dispatching work to branch offices and/or engineering staff as required to individual customer locations.

The ideal candidate will be skilled and experienced in the following:

  • Strong organisational and administration skills
  • Flexible in approach to work and have an ability to carry out, where necessary, other tasks essential to the smooth running of the contract
  • Should be strongly customer focussed and have a strong awareness of client needs
  • Excellent telephone technique and interpersonal communication skills
  • Possess a reliable, proactive and professional attitude
  • Able to work on own initiative without supervision
  • Be computer literate with MS applications
  • Able to prioritise and organise workload - Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth running of business

As a Help Desk Agent within the company, your duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Receiving incoming calls/faxes & e-mails relating to client maintenance work requests
  • Logging work requests in our TABS CAFM system
  • Monitoring the inbox and On-Line Portal for job request and processing accordingly
  • Contacting specialist maintenance engineering contractors to schedule repair work
  • Updating customers on the progress of jobs
  • Managing the purchase order process for works
  • Assisting in the collation of estimates to issue to Clients
  • Providing general administration support for the office as required which may include: Retrieving data from the TABS CAFM system, Data input onto our TABS Management Information System, Updating weekly and monthly reports, Maintaining filing systems, Scheduling works with engineers and Clients, Any other duties as required

This is a permanent full-time position between the hours of 8:30am - 5pm and the company are looking to offer a very competitive salary.
