A fantastic opportunity has become available for an IT Support Assistant to join an established Legal firm based in Kidderminster. My client has enjoyed high levels of growth & success in recent years which has allowed them to continue to develop their offices and bring in the best talent across the business.

The IT Support Assistant will be responsible for providing IT Support to internal users across three offices. Main duties will include:

-Assisting with hardware
-Software desktop applications
-Network and communications problems at first line level
-To ensure that all support calls and service requests are logged and administered in accordance with agreed procedures.
-To make site visits to remote branch offices as may be required.
-To assist with the administration of staff joining, leaving or moving within the Firm in relation to the creation of user accounts, password creation, email accounts, security access and telecom communications.

The role of IT Support Assistant will involve working closely with the Head of ICT and the Senior ICT Assistant to identify where improvements can be made to IT systems. It will also involve assisting with the maintenance of the Firm's asset register and undertaking daily checks on IT systems which may result in liaising / working with external suppliers / third party support and preparing reports for suggested resolutions.

IT Support Assistant should have the following attributes:

*Practical experience gained in working in a commercial environment either during their career or as a work placement
*Excellent customer service and communication skills;
*The ability to assist in the installation of new software / hardware;
*Good commercial awareness with a proven background for resolving IT issues within a pressurised environment;
*Pro-active, driven, professional and flexible as well as being friendly, and a good team player;
*A solid working knowledge of common Microsoft applications.

As the role will involve being able to participate in the ICT out of hours rota, it is also important that applicants have a flexible attitude as the duties will be varied subject to the business needs.
