Installation and Maintenance Field Service Engineer - Low voltage systems
My Client, a company that specialise in installation and maintenance of temperature monitoring systems, have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Engineer to join their growing team. They are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer who has worked on Electro Mechanical systems including CAT5/6 cabling to be trained on specialised monitoring equipment.
The successful applicant will ideally be based South of Birmingham, with easy access to the M1 / M6. Covering client sites; you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of temperature monitoring systems (low voltage electrical and electronic hardware), including cabling.
This role would ideally suit someone with a background in CCTV, Access Control and Security or similar low voltage systems; although full training is provided.
Any formal qualification within electrical or electronic engineering will be an advantage.
The role involves out of hours on-call support on a shared rota basis and will involve staying away from home.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience of working with electrical/electronic hardware
• Good understanding of installation and maintenance practices.
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer focused with good people skills
• Self motivated
• Attention to detail
• Full driving licence (less than 3pts for insurance purposes).
In return you will receive a salary of £26,000. In addition you’ll be provided with a company van with fuel card, tools, uniform, laptop and phone etc.
8% on call allowance once added to the rota.
