English Graduate Mentor Job
Dynamic English graduates required to support with English Mentor roles in Secondary School
You will be working in a school with high aspirations to change the face of Education through nurturing pupils throughout their Secondary years. This North Solihull school is known for its investment in extra support in order to pull students through the next grade boundary. The head teacher and senior leaders have very high expectations. They share a determination to provide the very best learning experiences for all the students.
Your role as an English Mentor will be to support the class teacher with small groups and one to one class withdrawals for those students for both gifted and talented or lower abilities within English. You will work across KS3 and KS4 to help boost academic progress of the students.You will also be required to work closely with the Head of Department to monitor and relay their progress or challenges and help with strategic implementation for improvements.
To be successful in this English Academic Mentor role, you will need to be educated to degree level in a relevant subject area. You will also have proven and referenceable experience of working with children aged 11-18 in the last two years. You will have excellent communication skills and be ambitious and committed. Experience working within the English department is desirable.
