We are currently working with a Midlands based charity that is looking for Floating Support Workers to work within their Homeless Families Team within Warwickshire.

These are full time temporary roles. Predominately working Monday to Friday, however you will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the service.

The successful applicants will provide a holistic support service for customers who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. Adopting a preventative approach where the root causes of homelessness are proactively addressed at the earliest possible stage; empowering customers to sustain long term achievements.

These are specialist posts for professionals with experience providing intensive housing support to families at risk of homelessness, including those that have been placed in temporary accommodation. You will be responsible for providing expert housing, homelessness, social and welfare advice to ensure that where possible homelessness is averted, as well as sourcing alternative accommodation where appropriate.

You will be qualified to Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care or a similar related sector, along with professional experience of working with homelessness, young people, families, drug & alcohol, mental health, and/ or women and children affected by domestic violence within a community based role.

We are looking for applicants with excellent knowledge and experience of Safeguarding, Caseload coordination, Conflict and crisis management and providing group support. You will have effective and clear communication skills, with a proven track record at achieving successful outcomes. Flexibility to the needs of the client and charity is essential.

An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months is essential, Car Driver would be desirable.
