ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT - 20-25Kpa - PERM - BASED IN BIRMINGHAM

Greenwellgleeson is recruiting exclusively for an organisation in Birmingham who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the business to manage and support the Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Credit Control. Allied to managing strong reporting processes, you will be tasked with having a vested part in helping to drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that Sage matches Coface credit limits
Close month end ensuring brought forward balance, daybooks and Aged Debtors balance. Send monthly sales statements via email.
Chase overdue amounts from customers.
Set up new customers, checking Experian credit files and Coface to establish credit limits.
Daily sales figures
Produce weekly schedules for key weekly and monthly paying customers. These schedules include discounts allowed and amounts to pay
Close month end ensuring brought forward balance, daybooks and Aged Creditors balance.
BACS payments and send out remittance advices where appropriate via email.
Download daily cash balances and transactions statements.
Ensure sufficient funds are in current accounts for daily, weekly and monthly payments/direct debits
