Perpetual Partnerships are a niche engineering recruitment consultancy with a significant track record of supporting the key goals of organisations within the engineering community.

Our client is an ambitious and rapidly growing automation solutions provider and integrator seeking technical candidates available to support and enhance their business. They are looking for Control Systems Engineers for the design and development of automation and control systems.

These systems are usually found in large industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, Marine, Steel/ Metals and other manufacturing/ engineering industries however our client has had a huge increase in projects within automotive, aerospace and other various engineering industries.

Our client's key objective is to design, develop and commission control & automation systems. This person will have a good understanding of multiple drives and their associated systems. (AC/DC, Servodrives, SIMATIC, Motion Control and many more). You must be able to understand the project lifecycle which will include the development of design documentation, configuration of PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and then testing and commissioning.

Projects usually involve Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Wonderware etc- Experience with at least 1 or more of these systems at software development level are an absolute necessity and experience of Siemens Simatic is a bonus.

Detailed Role and Responsibilities

- Control system software design and implementation

- Control system hardware design

- PLC programming from scratch

- On site installation, testing and commissioning

- Prefferable experience of SIMATIC

Skills & Qualifications

- Electrical/ Automation Degree or similar.

- Knowledge of Siemens/Rockwell/ABB systems combined with relevant PLC/SCADA/HMI /Drives Packages
